Emerald Cut Eternity Band - Happy Anniversary!

Well, well, well.  Look what has come to live at my house!  The Mr. and I have a big anniversary next year and we've been talking about what we'd like to do for it.  He needs a new wedding band, so I think I'll get him one and since he's getting one, I thought maybe I should have a new one, too.  You know I like options when it comes to my nuptial jewelry.  The Mr. wanted to go to the jeweler in Chicago who made my original ring and get something new.  He is a wonderful man.  I thought about this for awhile and really went back and forth between buying a larger solitaire and buying this.  Because, honestly, this is the ring of my dreams.  It's an emerald cut eternity band and I <3 it.  I love the way the emerald cut reflects like tiny mirrors.  I love that the stones go all the way around the ring and I love how architectural this ring is.  It's an everyday, low profile ring but is still heavy on the bling.  You know what else I love - I paid less than $50 for this ring.

The Mr. would have gladly splurged and popped for the real thing, but until I was really sure I loved it I didn't want to spend the cash.  And now that I have this tester ring here, I love it so much I may never buy the real thing.  But then again, I may.  Or maybe I'll hate it in a year and want a big solitaire.  I'm fickle, what can I say?  So, where did I get this fantastic ring?  Home Shopping Network.  That's right.  HSN - home of, well, everything.  When I began looking at rings and saw the price tag on the real ones ($20,000 +) I thought I'd better test it out before making a commitment like that.  After researching different brands of cubic zirconia, reading forums, looking at pictures and videos, I decided that HSN's Absolute CZ was the product for me.  Did you know that CZ is actually graded - like diamonds?  The higher end product doesn't have the issues of the lower end stuff.  Good to know, right?

Jean Dousset has designed a line of jewelry for HSN which rivals the most current trends.  He uses Kite, Asscher, Pear, Emerald and Cushion cuts which give a very heirloom feel to his pieces.  Honestly, when the package came I took a deep breath and prepared myself to be disappointed.  After all, it's a fake, right?  These stones are amazing.  When I opened the ring box, they caught the light and reflected a million sparks of light and color.  It is stunning.  My ring can be found here but check out some of his other stuff.  I may just have to pick some of these up, too!

Love this 4.56 ct Asscher Cut Ring!  Asscher Cut in CZ?  Fantastic!  Also available in silver.

This is really one of my favorites - so delicate with a handcrafted feel to it.  And that's a 2 carat solitaire, too!

And I double heart these earrings - very red carpet, yes?

  1. I like the tester ring Angi! I've thought of having more "nuptual options" but my Hubs is on the cheaper side....so CZ could be the way to go. Great post and Happy Anniversary! (next year)

  3. Wow - that is beautiful!!! I have a 1 carat solitaire engagement band that sits in front of a band of diamonds, but I do fantasize about a simple gold band at times.

  4. These are the perfect rings for wedding or engagement. With many jewelry websites depicting their good jewelry it is difficult to choose to the best fine diamond jewelry. Thank you for sharing the useful information.
